KC VFP Command Plus

Opera II is written in FoxPro, the industry standard database from Microsoft, which has the advantage of being the fastest PC database available. As well as being able to link to other standard products such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Smartsuite, Pegasus Opera has been written to allow versatility.

VFP Command Plus allows FoxPro commands to be run from within Opera and external programs to be run from a prompt input field. This allows for customisation of report layouts.

This external utility program functionality:

• Ability to execute almost any Visual FoxPro command line function
• Has purpose built-in functionality for resolution of commonly encountered problems
• Simple to operate rebuilding of individual Opera II data file indexes from the Opera II data directory.
• Simple posting of single sided journals into the Opera II nominal ledger, updating the associated tables (i.e. types, sub-types etc)
• Routines to attempt to resolve Error 41 (Memo File is missing or invalid) Note: This does not guarantee the fixing of error 41 or the retrieval of the memo data information depending upon the severity of the data corruption.
• Stock quantity recalculation routine.

The stock recalculation routine allows the operator to select the following options:

• Which Opera II data company to run the recalculation on
• Whether or not to run as a Test run or a live recalculation
• The quantity types to be recalculated
